Counselor in Training Program

Ages 13-16

Our CIT Program is a 5-day leadership experience designed for teens (ages 13–16) eager to learn, grow, and take their first step toward becoming future camp counselors. CITs gain hands-on experience working with younger campers while developing valuable skills in leadership, communication, and child supervision.

Program Highlights:

  • Week-long day camp (Monday–Friday)

  • Mentorship from experienced counselors

  • Lead games, assist in activities, and build confidence

  • Final CIT-led project + certificate of completion

  • Option to return as an unpaid Junior Counselor

    • $50–$100 reduction in camp tuition

What They’ll Learn:

  • Leadership & teamwork

  • Conflict resolution & child behavior basics

  • Safety protocols & first aid

  • Activity planning & group management

Eligibility:

  • Ages 13–16 by camp start date

  • Strong interest in leadership and working with kids

  • Interview with Camp Director and CIT Mentor

Parental Involvement:

  • Signed participation waiver required

  • Optional parent feedback at program’s end
