Counselor in Training Program
Ages 13-16
Our CIT Program is a 5-day leadership experience designed for teens (ages 13–16) eager to learn, grow, and take their first step toward becoming future camp counselors. CITs gain hands-on experience working with younger campers while developing valuable skills in leadership, communication, and child supervision.
Program Highlights:
Week-long day camp (Monday–Friday)
Mentorship from experienced counselors
Lead games, assist in activities, and build confidence
Final CIT-led project + certificate of completion
Option to return as an unpaid Junior Counselor
$50–$100 reduction in camp tuition
What They’ll Learn:
Leadership & teamwork
Conflict resolution & child behavior basics
Safety protocols & first aid
Activity planning & group management
Eligibility:
Ages 13–16 by camp start date
Strong interest in leadership and working with kids
Interview with Camp Director and CIT Mentor
Parental Involvement:
Signed participation waiver required
Optional parent feedback at program’s end
